Day Two - Lefkimmi to Potami

Lekimmi, with its riverside tavernas and beautiful churches, is the start of a four hours non-challenging walk. In 2000, the Trail’s way-marker told us: 'Just look down there: Vitalades and Perivoli and what wonderful countryside! Then the bay of Lefkimmi. And the whole length of the east side of the island. And we can see the mountains of Albania in the distance. Corfiots always complain about how the island has changed. They should come up here and see how lovely it is.'

Edward Lear based himself at Lefkimmi and sketched for a day in countryside north of Perivoli.
